The day has finally arrived! Tomorrow is the big day for Roman Jewelers Wedding Winners Marah Winkler and Jimmy Silvestri – and we can’t wait! Congratulations to Marah Winkler and Jimmy Silvestri of Forked River who won the Roman Jewelers Luxury Wedding Contest!

The engaged couple won a $100,000 luxury wedding after raising over $20,000 for the Special Olympics New Jersey which provides sports training and competitive opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. Candice served as a judge for this contest along with Roman Shor, President and Owner of Roman Jewelers; Molly Tully, editor at New Jersey Bride magazine; and Toni Ryan, host of 94.5 WPST’s More Variety Workday. They had a tough decision to make, as there were nine couples in the running who raised over $67,000 for local charities. After 20 minutes of deliberation, they proudly chose Marah and Jimmy, who were completely stunned.

The couple raised funds by hosting a “Bowl-a-thon”, a special “Bounce U Childrens Event” and organizing a Mega 50/50. They also generated awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey by distributing information to local businesses, creating a Facebook page, sending home flyers in schools, reaching over 50,000 viewers with PSAs on TV 21 of Ocean County and running radio PSAs on 105.7 The Hawk.

Marah and Jimmy will be married on February 12, 2011 at The Villa in Mountain Lakes. The all expenses-paid luxury wedding includes a couture wedding gown, five-night honeymoon on Hawaii’s Big Island, full photography and videography services, food and drink for 200 guests, wedding cake, limousine services and everything else to make a wedding possible. The Finishing Touch is proud to be providing coordination for their special day and we are so excited to work with this deserving couple!
