In most cases, the custom stationery design process takes approximately 3 to 4 months from the initial consultation to the mailing of the invitations. Ideally, we like to hold our initial consultation with a client 6 to 8 months prior to their event.
We start with an in-person, phone, or email complimentary consultation to discuss your vision and style. You would be asked to fill out a client information form with details of your event to help develop the wording of the invitation.
After your consultation, a design deposit is required to start the custom design process. The deposit is non-refundable but is credited towards your invitation order.
After a contract is signed and deposit is received, within 7 – 10 business days, we create up to 3 custom digital mockups of your invitations. The digital mockups are electronic versions of the invitation design that will give you an idea of what the actual invitation would look like. These digital mockups are emailed to you for your review along with pricing information on each design.
After you have reviewed the digital mockups, you have the opportunity to submit feedback on the designs. You would let us know what design(s) you liked and what changes you would like to have made.
We then send you the digital mockup design(s) that you selected with changes made.
After you approve the updated digital mockup(s), we will order the necessary supplies to create the physical mockups of the designs selected. You will receive the physical mockups of the invitations within 10 – 14 business days.
Once you receive the physical mockups, you will let us know which design you have chosen and if any minor revisions need to be made. We will then submit to you the final proofs of your invitation for your review and approval. Once we receive your final approval in writing, we ask that you make a 50% deposit of your estimated total. If you need to cancel your order after production has begun, we will retain this deposit.
Once your order is complete, we can hand deliver your invitations to you, ship to you at your cost or, for an additional fee, we can address, stuff, and mail your invitations to your guests for you. Your remaining balance will be due prior to shipping or mailing.
