Mariana & Andrew: Park Avenue Elegance

Nothing quite compares to the elegance of a classic New York wedding. We were fortunate enough to coordinate a wedding such as this on October 4, 2008 for our couple Mariana & Andrew. Those attending the ceremony, held at the beautiful St. Thomas of More Church, saw Mariana walk down the aisle in a gorgeous Vera Wang gown holding an all white bouquet ~ following her Bridesmaids who were wearing gorgeous navy blue dresses by the same iconic designer. The ceremony was decorated with beautiful altar arrangements created by Thomas C. Anderson. The finishing touch to bring it all together was a sophisticated classic program, designed by The Finishing Touch's Event Design division, tied with a silk navy blue ribbon.
Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests continued to celebrate at a private club. The stunning 2-story ballroom was decorated by event designer Thomas C. Anderson in claret (a deep, rich red) and black.
Claret damask linens were paired with tall black candles and black chavari ballroom chairs with red velvet cushions for a stunning contrast. The table centerpieces were composed of miniature calla lilies, French roses, cymbidium orchids, amaryllis lilies, and ranunculus in various shades of red, burgundy, chocolate brown, and mahogany.
The head table was decorated with topiary trees with a base of deep red apples for an added touch of texture.
After a fantastic dinner, and a very emotional touching speech by Mariana's father, the guests danced the night away to the Bob Hardwick Sound and were treated to a spectacular cake from Ron Ben-Israel.
At the end of the evening, the happy couple stood on the Juliet balcony above the ballroom where Mariana tossed her bouquet to an excited group of single female family members and friends. The couple then shared the final dance of the evening overlooking the crowd.
A truly beautiful, classically elegant wedding for a wonderful couple. A huge thank you to our fantastic vendor team for making this event truly one of a kind.
