Over Memorial Day weekend, we took our six month old daughters on their first trip to the beach.  We decided to visit Barnegat Light Long Beach Island, NJ and stayed at the very accommodating Minerva's by the Sea.  Owned by the friendly and gracious Emma, this great bed and breakfast is just steps away from the water and has great views.  Within walking distance, there are also good places to have lunch and dinner.

Breakfast, however, is included in your stay….and ours was delicious.  In the quaint kitchen, we watched Emma whip up a delicious Brie cheese omelet served with toast and avocado on the side.

One of the things we loved about our stay was that Emma provided us with two pack and plays for the girls.  Our room was spacious with a living room area and full kitchen.  Minerva's also has a library of books with a variety of titles, which includes a little play area for children.  It is very family friendly, and is also great for corporate events and special occasions.

It is also an ideal place for couples to have a romantic getaway, as there is lots of privacy, and you will barely know anyone else is also visiting during your stay.
