(201) Bride Web Exclusive: Fab Ways to Invite Your Bridal Party

Asking a family member or friend to be in your wedding party is an important decision and is quite an honor! This is a great time to express just how special they are to you in their own way – so why not get a little creative? (201) Bride recently posted some of our creative ideas on Bergen.com that will be sure to have your bridal party saying, ‘I do!’.

Wine and Dine Em!:

Invite your girls out for dinner and drinks to catch up and fill them in on your latest wedding plans. During the meal, raise a toast and say a few kind words about each of them before asking the ultimate question. Coordinate with the restaurant to bring out a round of celebratory champagne – and dessert of course.

Video Proposal:

Create a video or slideshow featuring stories, pictures and other memories explaining how and why each of your bridesmaids are special to you. Include a little proposal at the end asking them to be a part of your big day – and be sure to have tissues on hand! Check out this video proposal from Absolute Media Productions, where our very own bride-to-be Stephanie chose a Sex and the City theme to ‘pop the question’ to her bridesmaids. It is Fab-u-lous!

Mail It:

What girl doesn’t love a good greeting card? Mail out a beautiful note or custom greeting card to your bridal party to request their presence on your big day. Be sure to include a sentimental note to express how important they are to you and why you want them there. Add a little extra twist by sending an RSVP card inside with a ‘Check Yes or No’ option – but we can pretty much guarantee they will all be yeses!

For the Guys:

Most men tend to not be as emotional or sentimental when it comes to inviting their half of the bridal party – but that doesn’t mean it’s not important! If your guy is looking for a unique way to ask his groomsmen, why not suggest holding a poker night or having a guy’s night out. Guys love humor so sending out a funny card to invite their groomsmen is always a great way to go.

The Knot Market Party!

We had an awesome time working with The Knot team in putting together this year’s Market Party which was held at the amazing Stone House at Stirling Ridge!

Going with a vintage big top circus theme, we brought in vibrant reds and teals in the decor throughout the event space. Graphic Grace Designs created the fun signage that went hand in hand with the decor. The Little Flower Shoppe created stunning centerpieces featuring bright red dahlias accented with teal ribbons set in antique stone pots. They also brought in a beautiful crab apple branch arrangement that was placed at the entrance. Lanterns and votives adorned the tables along with red and blue admission tickets to add another punch of color.

As guests arrived, they were treated to some amazing passed hors d’oeuvres such as tomato basil bruschetta, mini sirloin sliders, raspberry and brie stars and much more.  The bright red pomegranate Garden of Eden signature drink was a huge hit and enjoyed by all.

After cocktail hour, it was ‘Showtime’ and everyone headed for the main ballroom. A presentation was given by the team from The Knot where they shared some of their latest happenings and updates. Guests were also introduced to The Bump, which is the inside scoop on pregnancy!

For dinner, stations were set up around the room featuring everything from Mediterranean fare, hand rolled Sushi, Paella and more. The crowd enjoyed music and entertainment that was provided by the great team at In the Mix Entertainment.

Vanessa Joy Photography was on hand to capture all of the details of the event as well as some great snapshots of guests enjoying the evening. A photo booth disguised as a ‘Kissing Booth’ was set up for the attendees to take tons of silly pictures.

With the circus theme there had to be lots and lots of sweets! Dimestore Candy Buffets provided lots of sugary treats such as licorice, rock candy, gumballs and more. Yummy popcorn favors were also provided by Popcorn Creations. The Stone House features an amazing firepit area that our guests were able to enjoy some good old fashioned s’mores! To top it off, our good friends at Confectionary Designs created an amazing tiered cake that featured the blue, red and gold colors, an antique clown and big top tent. (It was delicious too!)

We had a great time organizing and designing the Knot’s Market Party and look forward to next year’s event!

TFT Stationery featured in New Jersey Bride!

What’s peacock, honeysuckle and published??? TFT’s custom invitation!

Check out New Jersey Bride‘s peacock and honeysuckle inspiration board where they share some items they love.

We absolutely adore a fun peacock theme! It provides a wide variety of striking color combinations that are beautiful and bold.
We chose to feature this year’s hottest color, Honeysuckle, and accent it with a deep Cyan and Aquamarine. The best part about these colors is that they also compliment numerous shades and tones, which can be incorporated through florals and decor and still coordinate with the Honeysuckle/Peacock theme. Adding an actual peacock feather to elements of the decor is also a great accent – from your bouquet, centerpieces or even a fabulous pair of stilettos!
